Absolutely brilliant piece of kit. Upgraded to the Fluke 117 multimeter for commercial board work. The VoltAlert feature saves me reaching for a separate pen, and the one-handed operation is a lifesaver in tight cupboards.
I've been a sparky for 15 years and always trust Fluke. The AutoVolt function on this is incredibly fast for reactive maintenance callouts. True RMS is a must these days with all the LED drivers we deal with.

You definitely pay a premium for the Fluke badge, but the build quality is undeniable. It's survived a few drops from the stepladder already. Only giving 4 stars because the test leads could be slightly longer.
Perfect electrician multimeter. The low impedance (LoZ) mode is fantastic for eliminating ghost voltages on long cable runs. Gives me complete confidence when fault finding.
Compact enough to sit in my toolbelt all day without weighing me down. The continuity buzzer is loud and instant, no annoying lag like on cheaper AC DC multimeters.
On-Site Operation
- Pre-Use Check: Inspect the test leads and meter casing for any signs of damage before approaching a live circuit.
- Non-Contact Voltage Detection: Select the VoltAlert™ function. Bring the top of the meter close to a terminal, socket, or cable to detect the presence of AC voltage quickly.
- Voltage Measurement: Turn the dial to the AutoVolt (LoZ) setting. The meter will automatically determine if the circuit is AC or DC and display the correct True RMS voltage, whilst preventing false readings from ghost voltage.
- Continuity & Resistance: Switch to the resistance/continuity setting to perform dead-circuit testing on fuses, cables, and connections. A clear audible beep will sound for continuity.
